The Los Coloraos Astronomical Complex is located at an altitude of approximately 1,000 metres above sea level, in an area with very low light pollution, certified as a protected sky.
Technical characteristics of the sky:
- Average seeing: 1.3‘ – 1.8’.
- More than 250 operational nights per year.
- Low relative humidity and high atmospheric stability.
- Clear horizon and absence of direct light sources.
These conditions make the enclave an optimal location for professional and semi-professional astronomical observation.
